Eila Madden

Eila is an award-winning business and finance journalist with more than two decades of experience in the sector. She has worked for some of the UK’s leading magazine and newspaper publishers, including The Economist Group. She has also worked for high-profile London-based content marketing agencies, including Wardour, SevenC3 and Bladonmore, where she has edited titles for the likes of PwC and the CBI. Today, she uses her journalism skills as a Senior Associate at the global organisational consulting firm, Korn Ferry.

Erroll Jones

Erroll Jones

Erroll Jones is a Photographer and Art Director at WeShootLondon. He has a print publishing background in lifestyle and Business to Business publications, and was co-owner of the influential cross-cultural magazine 2nd Generation. Outside of his day job he has ran courses to help disadvantaged children get into publishing and coached football at grassroots level. Oh and he also likes to write (bad) poetry.

Ian Allsop

Ian Allsop

Ian Allsop is a freelance editor, journalist and commentator specialising in civil society management, financial and policy issues. He was editor of Charity Finance between 2004 and 2009 and has worked in and around the voluntary sector for over 25 years. Ian is currently contributing editor to Charity Finance, and edits the Charity Finance Yearbook. He has assisted with the judging process for the Charity Awards for 18 years. He has also written extensively on independent schools. His other clients include CAF, RSM, Charity Digital, Farrer & Co, Brewin Dolphin and Quilter Cheviot. He is deputy chair of Citizens Advice Epping Forest District, and was previously chair of governors at his local primary school.

Janette Parris

Janette Parris

Janette Parris is an artist who investigates the contemporary urban experience, has exhibited widely nationally and internationally for 25years including TATE, The New Art Gallery Walsall, ICA, Kunsthaus Zürich, Hayward Gallery Touring, Art on the Underground, Royal Academy of Arts, Cardiff Story Museum for Museums At Night 2014, and whose work could be seen in the site-specific exhibition 'Everyday Heroes' at the Southbank Centre and on Southend High Street, for the Focal Point Gallery’s annual Bridge Commission. Parris was one of 46 artists to be selected for the London Open 2022 at the Whitechapel Gallery, is currently exhibiting in Emplotment at the Ludwig Museum Budapest and is the founder of ‘Arch’ an established comic exhibited in the British Library’s “Comics Unmasked” in 2014.  

Kamala Panday

Kamala Panday

Kamala is a journalist by training who has written for a range of local papers and trade media. She has successfully launched and has developed magazines, digital content and event businesses for more than two decades. Kamala has board level experience working across charities and private businesses of various sizes with a focus on media and finance.

She has recently retrained as a children’s social worker with the aim to be dual qualified as a systemic psychotherapist in due course.

Kirsty Weakley

Kirsty Weakley

Kirsty Weakley is head of content Local Government Chronicle where she oversees the publication’s news and investigations output.

She was a journalist at Civil Society Media for ten years. She joined as a reporter and wrote about several topics including technology, governance, politics and finance for the publisher’s three print titles before becoming news editor.

She has a history degree and a journalism qualification. During her time at university she volunteered for a range of projects, including a painting and decorating service.

Outside of work she is an active member of a local book club.

Matthew Riviere

Matthew Riviere

Matthew is an accomplished marketing expert with 16 years’ experience, gained across a number of highly competitive and challenging industry sectors. Throughout his career Matthew has shown the ability to formulate and deliver impactful marketing campaigns, while priding himself on building and developing high performing teams.

After attending The Charity Awards, Matthew was inspired to launch a social enterprise, Good People Productions in 2020. The organisations dual focus is to bring together creatives and provide professional training opportunities for underrepresented communities in Matthew’s hometown of Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Tania Mason

Tania Mason

Tania has been a journalist for around 25 years and has specialised in the charity sector since 2003. She was head of the editorial team at Civil Society Media from 2006 until 2016 and her previous experience included stints on Third Sector, Marketing and PrintWeek magazines as well as news agency work. She started her career with five years on a daily newspaper in New Zealand before moving to London in 1993. Tania is now freelance and edits Governance & Leadership magazine for Civil Society Media.
